Retail Branch Manager


Summary:

The primary responsibilities for the Branch Manager are Sales, Operations, and Community Marketing of his/her branch. The Branch Manager is responsible for continued growth of core deposits through establishing new relationships as well as retention of current customers. In addition, the Branch Manager oversees daily branch operations and ensures compliance to bank policy and procedures with an emphasis on high touch, quality customer service. The Branch Manager must project strong leadership skills with emphasis on the Bank's corporate culture and value system. The Branch Manager needs to develop a strong neighborhood presence through branch marketing and public relations in the community. The Branch Manager must exhibit a strong professional image, and promote the Bank's image within the community.



Relationships:

Reports directly to the Senior Vice President - Retail Administration. Supervises all retail employees at his/her location



Critical Competencies, Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Directly responsible for Retail Branch Operations, Sales, and Marketing

• Responsible for achieving the overall branch sales goals and growing the branch profitability

• Provide consistent sales coaching and feedback to all employees to improve sales performance

• Ensures compliance to bank policy and all government regulations

• Directs and/or assists in performance of tasks by the Retail Branch Employees, i.e. delegation of work, unusual problems or questions, explaining task and procedure etc.

• Routinely monitors each of the branch employee's performance and prepares documentation when necessary.

• Responsible for preparing scheduled employee performance evaluations

• Demonstrates sound judgment, while adapting easily to change

• Performs audits, monitors branch expenses, and prepares various reports

• Must implement and maintain procedures to minimizes and prevent branch losses, i.e. fraud losses, teller differences, etc.

• Responsible for the maintenance of the branch facility and its compliance to city/county/state code

• Supervise, coach, and motivate branch retail employees to be committed to the bank's corporate culture and value system

• Responsible for all security at the facility, i.e. security procedures, security staff, etc.

• Proactive in gaining new business, and effective in maintaining current customer relationships

• Project a pleasant, professional appearance with strong communication skills

• Able to promote the bank and develop a strong community presence

• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment

• The position requires lifting objects of 30lbs, reaching, and removing objects of 15lbs above height level, and bending to floor level

Full-time Retail Banking Branch Supervisor


Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Retail Branch Supervisor is to assist in the daily operations of the retail banking branch. This position is hands-on in terms of serving as a role model for high touch customer service and managing the daily functions of the Branch. He/she will lead by example, conduct business professionally, and instill a feeling of confidence within the customers and fellow employees. The Branch Supervisor will assist the Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager in handling a multitude of issues as they arise and provide the necessary support. He/she will promote teamwork and branch efficiencies.



Responsibilities and Tasks Critical Competencies:

• Proficient in performing all personal banking/teller line tasks and responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Branch to include daily customer interactions and overall daily work of the staff

• Act as mentor and role model to the Branch employees for providing outstanding customer service

• Ability to create a schedule covering multiple shifts to ensure adequate coverage

• Ability to provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and training to develop and improve the skills of the relationship bankers

• Ability to create reports to track trends within the branch

• Assist in evaluating potential branch candidates and current staff evaluations

• Review and monitor existing policies and procedures, perform periodic risk/benefit analysis of product line and implement changes when deemed appropriate
