During the week of April 19 through April 26, our Homer Glen branch hosted its Grand Opening with a variety of entertaining and successful events. On Saturday, April 19, former Chicago Bears legend Dan Hampton appeared for an autograph session. Over 150 fans and community members came to the Bank to meet Dan and have him sign their Bears memorabilia.
On Monday, April 21 and Thursday, April 24, Rex Newel from Rex’s Antiques, Inc., hosted free antique appraisals. Over 100 people came to see if their old family heirlooms were actually old family treasures!
On Tuesday, April 22, the Bank celebrated Earth Day by giving away 113 baby Norway Spruce trees to customers and community members who stopped into the Bank.
American Mobile Shredding was on hand Wednesday, April 23 to help protect against identity theft by shredding old bills, bank statements, and other personal information. 29 people came to watch their old documents be shred to pieces.
The branch’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on Friday, April 25, at 2:00 pm. Members of State Bank of Countryside’s Board of Directors, Bank Officials and Homer Glen City Officials attended the historic occasion. The ribbon cutting was followed by cake and refreshments for all.
Our Grand Opening Week concluded on Saturday, April 26 with a Kids Party! Over 30 children and their families came to the Bank to play carnival games, eat cake, color, take a picture with our SBC Kids Club mascot, and receive a goody bag. The Kids Party also kicked off State Bank of Countryside’s new SBC Kids Club.
Throughout the week, customers were treated to refreshments including cookies, popcorn, and juice. Every 10th teller transaction won a trip into our money machine. One lucky winner grabbed over $150 dollars!
A number of great prizes, including camp chairs, leather portfolios and a trip into our money machine, were given away by our Wheel of Fortune game. Every person who walked into the Bank was given a chance to spin our wheel, where everyone was a winner!
Our weeklong “Samples from our Vault” Contest saw one dollar bills being given away to every person walking into the Bank. The winning serial number was randomly drawn on Saturday, April 26 with the winner receiving $1,000!
We thank everyone who participated in our Homer Glen Grand Opening Week and making it a great success. We look forward to seeing you again at our new branch!
